Such is the popularity of this small hotel, tucked
away down a cul-de-sac close to San Marco, that to get a room
here you have to book weeks, even months in advance. You only
need to glimpse the garden to know why it is sought after. Creepers,
fountains and flowering shrubs cascading from stone urns create
an enchanting setting for breakfast, tea or an evening drink
in summer.
Coveted rooms include two on the ground floor
facing the garden and the three spacious corner rooms, the
topmost of which has a marvellous view of Santa Maria della Salute.
The
venerable Flora has been run by the charming Romanelli family,
father, son and grandson, for the past 38 years.
