Santa Maria della Consolazione, Todi

One of the most important High Renaissance churches in Umbria. Surprisingly, although we know its dates (1508-1607), we do not know who built it. It is very close in style to Bramante, who had just begun rebuilding St Peter's in Rome, and may give, on a reduced scale, the best idea of what he intended: a dome inspired by the Pantheon on top of a Greek cross.
