This beautiful privately-owned villa nestles in the
hills above Val Di Chiana, in Southern Tuscany. It is run
by three friends, two English and one Italian whose exuberance
for the Tuscan lifestyle can be found in the simple food,
eclectic decoration and the relaxed yet stylish 'home from
home' atmosphere of the villa.
Villa Fontelunga has only eight simple and airy bedrooms,
all with double aspect views over the beautiful countryside.
The decoration is an eclectic mix of traditional antiques
and modern design. There is a lovely bedroom suite in a
cottage in the grounds which has french doors opening onto
its own
terrace.
The grounds of the villa are extensive and are
home to a large open-air pool. Peaceful strolls through
the surrounding
olive groves are certainly recommended. If the weather
is fine dinner (Tuesdays and Fridays) is served on the
villa's
terrace where you can enjoy the stunning views and plot
the following days explorations.
