Milan, the industrial capital of Northern Italy, has always been a strong magnet for artistic talent. Leonardo da Vinci left Florence in 1842 for the Court of the Sforzas, and his ‘Last Supper’ is one of the greatest masterpieces of the Renaissance.
The sophisticated Milanese have always appreciated art, with their numerous collections standing comparison with anything elsewhere in Italy. It is also a city that inspires deep love and loyalty, thanks to its brio, its attitude, its faster than average pace (for Italy), and of course its shopping.
An evening at La Scala remains one of the greatest operatic experiences in Europe, whilst successfully encapsulating the glamour and cultural sophistication of this fascinating city. After its careful three year restoration, we are proud to be able to offer privileged access as well as procuring the best seats available. Please contact us for details of the 2008/9 programme.
