Brunelleschi's late masterpiece (1436-87), finished long after
the master's death. The interior gives a feeling of space and
light. Like the Pazzi Chapel, Brunelleschi based his architecture
on the close study of proportions. There are a number of fine
Renaissance altarpieces in the side chapels.
