The Crucifixion and Saints by Perugino feels like a real discovery.
Passing through Giuliano da Sangallo's Renaissance cloister and
entering the church, you pass from the right of the nave underneath
the church to emerge in the chapter house. Perugino's fresco
fills the whole of the east wall. It is one of his greatest works,
with a horizontal line showing the incredible height reached
by the disastrous flood of 1966.
DIRECTIONS:
From Piazza Santa Croce head north up Via G. Verdi which eventually turns into
Borgo Pinti. The church is at no.58.
