 Bellini Travel is proud to support the work of Venice in Peril, a British registered charity founded in 1966 after the great flood that caused such terrible damage to countless Venetian monuments, churches and works of art.
It now raises funds to restore and conserve works of art and architecture in Venice, and to investigate ways to protect them against future risks, particularly rising sea levels.
The research into the flooding problems is accessible to all and they also lobby for the long-term defence of the city, both as a monument and a living community.
Emily FitzRoy, the Managing Director of Bellini Travel, is a trustee of Venice in Peril.
 Slow Food is a non-profit, eco-gastronomic member-supported organization that was founded in 1989 by Carlo Petrini.
Its aim and mission is to counteract fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.
Today, they have over 80,000 members all over the world.
